Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 2, 2026

EventWise Tracker ("we", "us", or "our") is a personal event planning and record-keeping platform that helps you plan and manage weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, baby showers, and other personal occasions. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. EventWise Tracker is intended for individual, personal use in planning your own occasions.

1. Information We Collect

  • Account information — your name and email address when you sign up. Your password and sign-in credentials are handled by our authentication provider; we do not see or store your password ourselves.
  • Profile information — optional details you add, such as a phone number.
  • Occasion and planning information — the details you enter to plan an occasion, such as its name, type, date, time, and venue; sub-events and activities; budgets, expenses, and payment records; guest lists and RSVP status; vendor details and vendor payments; food and catering notes; checklists and to-buy/to-do items; and reminders.
  • Uploaded files — receipt images you attach to an expense. We only accept image files for receipts.
  • Photos from the mobile app — if you choose to take a photo of a bill or pick one from your gallery in the EventWise Tracker mobile app, that image is uploaded as the receipt for that expense. The app only uses the camera or your photos when you ask it to, and never accesses your microphone, location, or contacts.
  • Device notification token — if you allow notifications in the mobile app, we store a push token that identifies your device so we can send you alerts (for example, when a collaborator changes something on an occasion you own). You can turn notifications off in your phone's settings, and the token is removed when you log out or delete your account.
  • Technical and usage data — basic information collected automatically when you use the Service, such as browser type, device type, and access timestamps, used to keep the Service reliable and secure.

We do not currently use any analytics or advertising-tracking services, so this technical data stays within our own hosting and infrastructure providers, described in Section 5.

2. Information About Other People

EventWise Tracker lets you enter information about other people in connection with your occasion — for example, guests, family members, and vendors or service providers you are working with. This may include names, contact details, and similar details you choose to record. This information is entered by you, for your own planning purposes; the people you add do not create their own EventWise Tracker accounts through this feature. You are responsible for making sure you have an appropriate basis to share this information with us, and, where required by applicable law, for letting those individuals know how their information will be used.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide and operate the features of EventWise Tracker.
  • To create and manage your account, and to authenticate you.
  • To store and let you manage your occasion, budget, guest, vendor, and checklist data.
  • To store the receipt images you upload.
  • To send service-related communications, such as password resets.
  • To respond to support requests you send us.
  • To diagnose technical problems and improve the reliability of the Service.
  • To help prevent abuse and keep accounts and data secure.
  • To comply with applicable legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your event, guest, budget, or expense data for advertising, and we do not use it to train AI models.

4. Cookies & Session Data

We use a session cookie to keep you signed in and to maintain your authenticated session. This cookie is essential to the Service working and is not used for advertising or tracking across other websites. In the mobile app, your sign-in session is kept in the app's private storage on your device instead of a cookie, and the most recent data you viewed is saved on the device so the app still works with a poor connection. That saved data is cleared when you log out. We do not currently use any analytics or advertising cookies.

5. Service Providers We Use

We work with a small number of service providers who process information on our behalf, solely to operate the Service:

ProviderPurpose
SupabaseDatabase, authentication, and file storage
ResendSending service emails (account confirmation, password reset, invitations, welcome and reminder emails)
Expo (Expo Push Service) and Google Firebase Cloud MessagingDelivering push notifications to the mobile app (only the notification text and your device token are passed on)
CloudflareApplication hosting, domain, and security

We do not use payment processors, advertising networks, or third-party analytics services. If that changes, we will update this section.

6. International Data Processing

Our database, authentication, and file storage are hosted by Supabase in its Asia-Pacific (Seoul, South Korea) data center. Cloudflare, which hosts and delivers the application, operates a global network and may process requests through data centers in various countries as part of its normal operation. This means your information may be processed and stored outside your country of residence. Where this applies, we work with providers who maintain appropriate safeguards for handling personal information.

7. Sharing of Information

We do not share your personal information with third parties, except:

  • with the service providers listed in Section 5, who process data on our behalf to operate the Service;
  • where required by applicable law or legal process; or
  • where necessary to protect the security, rights, or integrity of the Service.

8. Data Retention & Deletion

We retain your information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Service to you, maintain your account, and meet our legal obligations. You can delete your account yourself in the mobile app (More → Profile → Delete account), which permanently removes your account and every occasion you own, including all data shared with collaborators you invited. Occasions owned by someone else are kept, and you are simply removed from them. How to do this is also explained at eventwisetracker.com/account-deletion. You may also request deletion at any time by emailing support@eventwisetracker.com. We will act on deletion requests except where we are required by law to retain certain records.

9. Your Rights & Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal information, including the right to:

  • ask what personal information we hold about you;
  • correct inaccurate information;
  • request that we delete your information;
  • withdraw any consent you previously gave us; and
  • raise a concern about how we handle your information.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@eventwisetracker.com. We will respond within a reasonable time.

10. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) to the Service and database-level access controls that restrict your event data to your own account. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Children's Privacy

EventWise Tracker is intended for use by adults planning their own occasions and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly allow children under 18 to create accounts or use the Service independently. You may enter information about a child as a guest of an occasion you are planning (for example, a child's birthday) — this does not mean the child holds an EventWise Tracker account or has independently provided us information.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above.

13. Contact Us

If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or your data, contact us at support@eventwisetracker.com.
