Terms of Service

1. Description of Service

EventWise Tracker is a personal event planning and record-keeping tool that helps you organize budgets, expenses, guests, vendors, checklists, and other details for weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, and other personal occasions.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and use the Service. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet this requirement.

3. Your Account

• You must provide accurate information when creating an account.
• You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• You must notify us promptly of any unauthorized use of your account.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' data or accounts, or to our infrastructure.
• Upload content that is illegal, infringing, or that you do not have the right to share.
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service.
• Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to access the Service without our written permission.
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure.

5. Your Content

You retain ownership of the data and files (such as expense records, guest lists, and receipt images) that you add to the Service ("Your Content"). You grant us a limited license to store, process, and display Your Content solely to provide the Service to you. You are responsible for Your Content and confirm you have the right to upload it, including any information about other people (such as guests or vendors) that you add — see our Privacy Policy for more detail on that responsibility.

6. Our Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, code, logo, and features, is owned by EventWise Tracker and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Other than Your Content, you may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the Service without our written permission. The EventWise Tracker name and logo may not be used without our permission.

7. Third-Party Services

The Service relies on third-party infrastructure providers — currently Supabase (database, authentication, and file storage) and Cloudflare (hosting) — to operate. We are not responsible for the practices of these providers beyond our own use of them, which is described in our Privacy Policy.

8. Availability & Changes

We aim to keep the Service available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features of the Service at any time, with or without notice.

9. Termination

You may stop using the Service and request deletion of your account at any time by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms, misuse the Service, or if we are required to do so by law. When your account is terminated, we handle your data as described in our Privacy Policy.

10. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be error-free, secure, or uninterrupted. Any budgeting, checklist, or planning information provided through the Service is a tool to assist your own planning and is not professional financial or event-planning advice; final decisions remain yours.

11. If the Service Is Discontinued

If we ever decide to shut down the Service, we will make reasonable efforts to notify registered users in advance. You can export your event data (such as budgets, expenses, guests, and checklists) at any time using the export feature available within the Service.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, EventWise Tracker and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, arising from your use of the Service.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service in breach of these Terms, from Your Content (including any claim that it infringes someone else's rights), or from your unauthorized collection or sharing of guest or third-party information through the Service.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

15. General

• Entire agreement — these Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service.
• Severability — if any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
• No waiver — if we don't enforce a right or provision of these Terms, that doesn't mean we've waived it.
• Assignment — you may not transfer your account or rights under these Terms without our consent. We may transfer our rights and obligations, for example as part of a transfer of the Service to another operator.
